Discovering Fabrics for Quilting Made an Addict Out of Me
Are you as addicted as I am when it comes to quilting, crafts and all the glorious fabric that is associated with it? I’m not only addicted to building a stash large enough to fill a house but to all the tools of the trade too. So, I am sharing my journey of crafting heirloom quilts (and not so heirloom) & tote bags and toys. Much of this is a learning experience as I delve into projects I’ve never done before. I’ll share with you where I purchased the fabrics and notions as well.
As is my usual habit, I wake up and take my pooch out for his morning duty and catch the mail on the way back in. Today was a grand day getting to open my September 2017 secret squishy package while I enjoy my first coffee of the day. I was charmed by 6 batik fat quarters and an applique wall hanging.
Every few months, you get 3 months work of directions. At this stage, it's possible to have your main block done even before your monthly package arrives because of all the left over fabric from previous months.
Let me introduce Captivate by Alisse Courter for Camelot Fabrics. When this bundle arrived, I was so smitten that I went and bought enough yardage to complete a queen sized quilt for my bed.
I belong to a monthly subscription and with it, I get 8 surprise fat quarters a monthly. Today, I found my package containing lovely Ebony & Ivory fat quarters by Deborah Edwards for Northcott.
